Finally got this to work via Bluetooth on my MacBook...The iPhone had the blue 'Internet Tethering" at the top but not until I connected to 'Bluetooth PAN' in Network Preferences AND hit 'Renew DHCP Lease' in the 'Advanced' settings did I have a working 3G bluetooth connection...Very fast, too!

Wow, this worked for me. I have yet to try bluetooth but I don't know if that's really important. My headset uses enough battery juice so I would imagine that the connection to my laptop would drain my phone in less than an hour.

Here are the Windows XP instructions that worked for me.
•	Go to the Windows Start Menu and type cmd
•	Type the following at the Command Console prompt (include the quotes): "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1
•	Hit enter (you won’t see anything happen)
•	Close the Command Console
•	Download this 52.2KB file to your Windows Desktop: http://cdn.krillr.com/ATT_US.ipcc - windows unzips it - i used firefox.
•	Connect your iPhone to your computer and start iTunes
•	Click on your iPhone in the “Devices” list in iTunes (left side)
•	Shift-click on the “Check for Update” button
•	Browse to the Windows Desktop and select the ATT_US.ipcc file and click “open”
•	iTunes will load the file
•	After the dialogue closes, sync the iPhone
•	Then on the phone, go to Settings>General>Network and Enable Internet Tethering. Note: The USB only option is very effective and saves battery life.
